The Commonwealth of Dominica’s citizenship by investment program was featured in Dubai-based newspaper Kahleej Times on 11 April 2015.
“Fancy a second citizenship or a passport to an exotic Caribbean country? The Commonwealth of Dominica is among several countries seeking to attract foreign investors through its Citizenship By Investment Unit, or CBIU,” the article reads.
It goes on to describe how, through streamlining the application process, the CBIU has made the Commonwealth of Dominica an attractive option for business and investment.
Applicants can either make a financial contribution to a government fund or allocate an agree amount to a government-approved project.
Dr Vince Henderson, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Commonwealth of Dominica to the United Nations in New York comments in the article on the significant contribution the CBIU has made to the Commonwealth of Dominica’s economy.
Dominica has no capital gains, estate or death taxes.
